Private Shore Excursion from Monaco / Monte Carlo to Eze & Monaco
Embark on a vibrant shore excursion from Monaco or Monte Carlo to discover this unique corner of France, including the hilltop village of Eze.
Pick up at Monaco Cruise Port
Your English-speaking driver/guide will pick you up directly at your cruise ship in Monaco Port of Call. After presenting the itinerary and program of the day, set off on a private tour that combines Monte Carlo highlights with the timeless charm of the French Riviera.
Arrive in the village of Eze
Perched high above the sea, the hilltop village of Eze has retained all its charm throughout the centuries. From the ruins of its medieval fortress to its narrow, winding streets, the small village now attracts many artisans and artists who have set up their workshops in former barns and sheepfolds, adding to the peaceful local atmosphere.
Celebrated for its tranquility, Eze has also inspired numerous writers, including Nietzsche, who is said to have worked on “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” here. Enjoy some time to visit the village at your own pace before heading down to discover a local perfume factory.
Visit a perfume factory
The famous perfume company Fragonard was established in 1926 by Eugène Fuchs, who named his house in honor of an 18th-century French painter and as a tribute to the perfume-making town of Grasse. During your visit, learn about the manufacturing secrets behind perfumes, soaps, and cosmetics created from the finest raw materials, using a blend of traditional methods and modern techniques.
Reach Monaco
After the perfume experience, continue on to Monaco and walk through the narrow streets of the Old Town. Your tour can include seeing the changing of the guards in front of the Royal Palace just before midday. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Neo-Romanesque Cathedral and see the memorial dedicated to Princess Grace and Prince Rainier of Monaco.
End the tour in Monte Carlo
Finally, end your excursion in Monte Carlo. Here you will discover the famous Casino, the Hôtel de Paris and Café de Paris, beautiful gardens, and a selection of deluxe boutiques. Depending on traffic and timing, you may also have the chance to drive along part of the legendary Formula 1 Grand Prix race track.
After the visit, your driver/guide will take you back to Monaco Cruise Port and drop you off at your ship.
